Ann Walthall combines her experience as a business operating executive with her knowledge of information technology, process design, and project management to help clients align operational resources with business strategy.

Ann has a track record in leading small teams, as well as large organizations, in start-up, high-growth, and turnaround environments. She works with clients to develop executable plans allowing them to bridge the gap between business strategy and implementation by specializing in:

  • Information technology (IT) strategic planning
  • Implementation of IT and operational initiatives
  • Process design and improvement
  • Assessment and acquisition of operational and technical skills
  • Cross-functional team management and project management

Using these capabilities, Ann has effected positive change within and across functional disciplines, including:  information technology, customer service and relationship management, call center operations and telemarketing, engineering and product development, product administration, customer deployment.

Ann’s experience spans a variety of industries such as insurance, banking, investments, software services, Internet services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and non-profit organizations.

Before starting her consulting practice, Ann worked as the senior vice president of operations for Darwin Networks, an Internet start-up company. Previously, she was also the vice president of engineering and operations for Appriss, a technology services company; and the CIO and chief administration officer at Providian Capital Management, a division of Providian Corporation (now AEGON.)

Ann received an interdisciplinary Bachelors degree in computer science and business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Business Administration from Bellarmine College. She is a graduate of Leadership Louisville and the Louisville Bingham Fellows and was previously an adjunct professor of business at the University of Louisville, Jefferson Community College, and Webster University.

Ann has served on several non-profit Boards in Louisville including the Metropolitan YMCA, LVAA, and Stage One.  She currently serves as the Board Secretary of Bellewood Presbyterian Homes for Children and Treasurer of the Center for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CAPP) and is a member of the Kentucky Women’s Forum.
